Do always consider the max. and min. load of your dimming device.
In overall: The 10cm cuttable goods are well dimmable by phase cut (trailing edge) dimmers till 35% of max. load by correct wiring. The 50cm and 100cm led stripes are well dimmable by only our dimmers 85162 and 85163 (others could work too). Those dimmers can be controlled either, depending on type, by our remote (85131), an external push switch or ZigBee smartcontrol.
If you have a smartmeter installed, depending on your local energy provider, every 30 or 60 minutes, a roundcall is made to read your smart meter values. This causes flickering to 230V ac directly attached goods. You can't do anything about it except install some PLC filters, which take some, but not all of the flickering. Also, nearby industrial appliances or machines can cause flickering, if they add some mal-current to your power. You would also see this flickering with halogen spots.
Yes, you need to, you are obliged by law to do so. Either attach the earthing wire by screw or pinch it between surface and al bar.
This happens because you have some phantom current on your wires, mostlikely induced by a 3-way switching scheme or an alternating switch. Ask the company of the switch, if they can provide you some kind of anti-interference capacitor, which can be installed with your wall mounted switch. Afterglow can be also caused by cheap, not relay-controlled motion sensors.
